This module provides a new level of integration for the document management functionality in enterprise applications, by using the same security/permission system that governs the entire application to regulate document access. It also provides a built-in File Explorer and the ability to manage multiple links from a number of different system records to a single file.
For some enterprises, this ability may resolve a longstanding problem. For example, it is common in some enterprises to attach the list of part specs to price quotes, sales orders, service contracts and more. What happens when that list needs to be updated, due to engineering changes to a part? Project-oriented enterprises face a similar problem when they want to revise a project requirement list or a Scope of Work document. The problem is that these changes are liable to impact a number of open commitments, documented throughout the system. How can you identify them all and ensure that your changes are implemented uniformly?
Priority's document management tools let you instantly map any records to which a given file has been attached. Moreover, since the links from all these records refer to the same file, there is no need to maintain multiple copies of each file, thus eliminating the potential for discrepancies.


Key Features:

  • Work with Office documents that are stored within Priority's cloud as if they are stored on your on-premise (intranet) file server.
    • Copy and paste files and entire folders (directories) from your local file system to the Priority server
    • Copy and paste attachments from your Outlook e-mail messages to Priority
    • Copy and paste attachments from one Priority record to another
  • Use Priority's File Explorer to navigate through your folders and files just as you would using your local file explorer (e.g., Windows Explorer).
  • Secure, cloud-oriented file management enables file sharing (over the web), governed by Priority's system-wide security & permission management utility.
  • Three levels of document management:
    • Traditional browser-style file manager
    • Attach files to related records
    • Archive (Library Catalogue) module, providing online access to your company library
  • Document contents are included in Priority's keyword search.
